Man wanted on multiple charges taken into custody by deputies, marshalls in Parrott

On Aug. 12 Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office Deputies along with the United States Marshalls attempted warrant service on David Frank Dowdy, 28 years old from Creek Rd. in Parrott.

Dowdy was wanted for multiple charges from Pulaski County including two counts of failure to appear, two counts of Possession of Schedule I or II controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, 3 counts of felony eluding police, two counts of driving suspended, false identification to law enforcement, reckless driving, hit and run and multiple traffic violations.

Warrant service was attempted around 8:30 a.m. at Dowdy’s residence on Creek Rd. in Parrott. Dowdy was located inside the residence and was taken to into custody without incident. Three pistols along with a rifle were discovered and seized inside of Dowdy’s residence. One of the three pistols had been reported stolen out North Carolina. Charges for the pistol will be pending.

Dowdy was transported to the regional jail and is currently being held without bond.
