Taysha DeVaughnThe Pulaski Democratic Committee is holding a Meet the Candidate picnic on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 4:30 p.m. at Randolph Park. Hotdogs and fixings will be served at 5 p.m., followed by comments from Taysha DeVaughan, the Democratic candidate to the U.S. House of Representatives from the 9th District.

DeVaughan, who is from Wise County, works with the Appalachian Community Fund, is the president of Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards, active in Lonesome Pine Mutual Aid, and a gubernatorial appointee to the Virginia Council on Environmental Justice.
