Meet This Week’s Patriot – O.T. Wade
O.T. Wade served in the Army from 1963 to 1966 as a member of the Railway Military Police in Germany. He graduated from Giles County High School in the summer of ’63 and then went into the military. When he came out of the service he came back to Bluefield, then shortly moved to Baltimore. In 1971 he came back to Virginia where he went to work at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant where he retired after 41 years of service. He was a part of the Dublin Fire Department for 15 years, he coached little league for the Dublin Rec Department, and he is an active member of the Highland Park Community Church where he teaches a Bible study class, He and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time with their children, five grandchildren and their great-grandson. His sons followed in his footsteps and both served in the military. He is also an active member of the Henry Clay Masonic Lodge and the American Legion.
