Meet This Week’s Patriot: Robert “Bob” Lamp

Robert “Bob” Lamp served from 1941 to 1945 in the Army Air Corps during World War II. During his time of service he was an airplane mechanic and an instructor on the B24’s and B25’s. After he came out of the military, he went to work at Corning Glass in West Virginia. In 1963 he moved to Blacksburg. He is an avid wood worker, and when he isn’t working in his workshop he is spending time with his friends, children and grandchildren. He is a member of Dublin’s American Legion Post 58.
