Missions Fair planned for April 29 in Dublin
The Western Blue Ridge Baptist Network is holding a Missions Fair on Saturday April 29, 2023 at Dublin Baptist Church in Dublin Virginia on Hawkins Street. It will begin at 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The International Missions Board and the North American Mission Board Missionaries, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Bland Ministry Center, and other ministry organizations will be providing information at the Mission Fair. This is an opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with the missionaries and to learn about other ministries within the New River Valley and Southwest Virginia. Come and learn about how our Cooperative Program and your Mission giving is working to reach people all over the world and right at home.
The Mission Fair Challenge of providing hygiene kits for disaster relief will be collected at the Fair on Saturday, April 29,2023 for storage until they are needed. Kit contents needed are small or travel-size items which should be placed in a 1-gallon sealable zip-lock plastic bag. The cost of a kit runs about $15. The list of items are as follows: soap, toothpaste, comb/brush, facial tissue, toothbrush, shaving cream, shampoo, razor/disposable, deodorant, and washcloth/cotton.
The kits that were collected last year were sent to Southwest Virginia area that hit by flooding. You may drop off any of the items above or a make up kits and drop them off that day.
We will be doing a mission project during the Fair at 2:30 p.m. by putting together items for 10 flood buckets (items have already been purchased).
You will able to view the Western Blue Ridge Baptist Network Disaster Relief Bunk House Trailer and the Chain saw Trailer.
