Montgomery County authorities searching for man who attempted break-in
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office along with multiple other law enforcement agencies are currently searching for a white male who attempted to break into a residence in the Brush Mountain area of the county.
Based on several witness observations and descriptions, we believe it to be Shawn Tolbert, who other law enforcement agencies have been searching for over the past week in the Giles/Craig County area.
The white male was described to have on blue jeans, black shoes, possibly a purple shirt, with blonde hair pulled into a ponytail.
Residents in the Brush Mountain area will see a heavy police presence throughout the evening as the search continues.
Additionally, residents should call 911 if they observe a subject matching that description. For all other non-emergency tips, please use the non-emergency number 5403824343.
Updates will be made as warranted.

He will blend in with the returning students probably sleeping near Patrick Henry in Scateboard park.
Plenty of food and beer and crowds in Blacksburg. Gyms to shower in. Put out a reward in the campus alert system. Spam his face on all the smart phones.
