New Taking It to The Streets Crusade, Event and Missions Center set to open June 3
The New Taking It To The Streets Crusade, Event and Missions Center, located at 235 N. Jefferson Ave. in downtown Pulaski, will host a grand opening and dedication on June 3.
“When God first sent us to Pulaski in 2010 to do a 30-day crusade that turned into 90 days, and then taking a yearly lease on a building, we didn’t see 2022 … but He did,” remarked Pastor Charlie Barbettini.
“God saw the Bus Ministry, Warming Station, Food and Clothing Ministry, Prison Ministry, Back to School Backpack, Feed The Hungry Thanksgiving Meal and Big Christmas Celebration,” he added.
“When God told us to look for a permanent location in Pulaski, we did just that, not knowing where it would be or where the money for it would come from. God has crossed the lines of denominations, towns, counties and states to get His work accomplished. Every time we get close to the budget and wonder where the additional funds will come from, He sends it in. We are extremely grateful and thankful that as of May 23, we have received a total of $68,997 in much needed donations,” Barbettini stated.
Now with the ministry part complete with sanctuary, office, media room, baths, commercial kitchen, and dining/clothing area, Barbettini said work will begin on the Warming Station so it can be ready for operation in the winter on nights when the temperature is 40 degrees or below at 6 p.m.
“If you would like to donate to help finish God’s building, you can use PayPal on our website at streets4god.com or send your donation to P.O. Box 30, Pulaski, VA 24301,” Barbettini said, adding an estimated $5,000 will be needed to complete the building project.
“We know that God is taking us to a higher level of ministry and we’re ready, willing and excited to follow His leading.”
Plans are to open June 3rd at 6 p.m. with an open house, dedication and worship service with Barbettini bringing the message.
“Then on Saturday, June 4th we will have our Food/Clothing Event from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. with free air cuts. We will be serving free hot dogs, chips, dessert and drinks. The Clothing Bank will be open with free men’s, women’s, boys and girls clothing. This will be followed by a Saturday evening service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mike Ingo bringing the message,” Barbettini said.
Services will be streamed live at streets4god.com, on YouTube and Facebook.
“On Sunday, June 12th we will begin a two-week Crusade with services starting at 7 p.m. nightly with different speakers and special singing each night.
“We want to thank God and everyone that has helped, donated and took part to make this something that Pulaski can be proud of, but more importantly something that God will be proud of.
“Our prayer throughout has been that God will be glorified,” Barbettini continued.
“Trusting God and moving forward we look forward to seeing you at the new Taking It To The Streets Crusade, Event and Missions Center!
“To God be the glory!”
