Next Level VR Showcase in Downtown Pulaski on January 4

Downtown Pulaski’s newest destination business and innovation center will be open to the public for the first time on Saturday, January 4, 2020. The 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. event called Next Level VR Showcase will include demonstrations, discounted offers, and a tournament for Rocket League and Super Smash Bros fans. Next Level Virtual Reality Center is located at 94 W. Main Street in Pulaski, Virginia.

The virtual reality business offers VR sessions at the studio center that features cutting edge technology, such as high-quality VR headsets, smell augmentations, and haptic feedback systems. Visitors can purchase use of this equipment or participate in sessions developed by the Next Level team.

In addition to their Main Street location, Next Level VR has been generating outreach contacts with various community partners. For example, the Next Level VT team has provided portable headsets to residents at assisted living or retire centers allowing participants to travel all over the world (or galaxy) without leaving the comfort of their favorite couch. The group creates virtual tours for organizations wishing to promote features of their business (manufacturing plants, universities, etc.). Additional engagements with educational institutions are underway.

“During the vision development for a restored Downtown Pulaski, we talked about the tradition of innovation in our town and the need for more businesses with unique appeal and offerings,” offered Catherine Van Noy, Interim Director of Pulaski on Main, the affiliate Virginia Main Street office. “It is fitting, therefore, that Next Level Virtual Reality is one of the first businesses opening in a renovated building on Main Street. The young innovators involved with the project know that the concepts of discovery and fun make an enticing blend to draw people here. We look forward to working with this group.”
