Obituary for Annette R. Rupe

rupe annette rAnnette R. Rupe, age 83 of Dublin, died Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on May 3, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Amanda Trivett Roop and the late Elisha Roop.

 

Annette retired after many years at Radford University.  She enjoyed selling Avon later in life, where she learned to love and cherish her customers. She attended Grace Ministries.  Annette, her sister China Bell Hall, and her sister Lona Mae “Doney” Goad joyfully created a three-member musical group, where they played hymns, and sang at their home. These occasions often brought love and joy to her family, at times when it was needed the most.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Ernest Franklin Rupe:  a daughter; Amy Rupe:  siblings; Iola Daye, Elza Roop, Elmer Roop, Everette Roop, Earl Roop, Lona Mae Goad, Linzie Roop.

 

She is survived by a daughter; Aylesa (Lisa) Dillow of Dublin:  a sister:  China Bell Hall of Pulaski: Grandchildren; Brandy (Michael) Henley of Fairlawn, and William Shane Rupe of Blacksburg: great-grandchildren; Ryker Henley, Piper Henley, and Justice Sipe.  Annette is also survived by many special nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Lawson officiating.  Interment will be private.
