Obituary for Charles Wayne Tolbert
Charles Wayne Tolbert, 83, of Pulaski, VA, passed on November 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Goldie Tolbert, sister, Barbara Powers Ingram, and his eldest son, Michael Wayne Tolbert.
Cherishing his memory is his wife of more than 65 years, Carol Tolbert, daughter, Lynne (Ricky) Jones, sons, Tee (Lisa) Tolbert, Brandon (Shea) Tolbert; Grandchildren, Thorne (Bridget) Tolbert, Zachary (Alaina) Tolbert, Caleb Tolbert, Kylee Tolbert, Vince and Wes Tolbert; step-grandson Brandon Jones. As well as nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Sugar.
Wayne worked most of his career at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant as a safety inspector. He loved the outdoors and was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He was a lifelong member of the YMCA of Pulaski County and the Thorn Spring Golf Club. He enjoyed traveling with his family to explore new places.
Funeral services are being handled by Norris-Stevens Funeral Home in Pulaski, Virginia. Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a service immediately following. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery in Pulaski, Virginia.

My heart goes out to you in the loss of your long time spouse and my long time friend. Wayne was a gentle gentleman and I loved being with him in whatever capacity. Jolene and I will keep you in our prayers.
