Obituary for Clarence Thomas Chinault

chinault clarence thomasClarence Thomas Chinault, of Dublin passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Radford Health and Rehab Center in Radford, Virginia after a prolonged illness.

He was born June 20, 1936 in Dublin.  He was the son of the late Lawrence Roosevelt Chinault & Malissa Hattie Keister Chinault. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Susan Burcham Chinault, his brothers, Lawrence “Teddy” Roosevelt Chinault, Robert Kent Chinault, Sr., and sister, Evelyn Josephine Sutphin.

Clarence was a friend to all in Dublin and once served as the Grand Marshall of the Dublin Christmas Parade. He walked the streets of Dublin with a wave and greeting to all who passed. He served in the United States Army.

Family and friends who survive and cherish his memory are brother – Raymond Elwood Chinault, Dublin, beloved friend – R.F. Pruitt, Dublin, sisters-in law – Bessie Burcham Tickle, Draper, Gerri Burcham Collins, Wytheville, Audie Wyatt Chinault, Pulaski and Evelyn M. East. Max Meadows, brother-in-law – James “Bob” Burcham, Jr.  Dublin and several nieces and nephews.

Grave Side Services conducted 2:00 PM – Thursday, May 11, 2023 at West End Cemetery Wytheville with Pastor Marvin Burcham officiating.
