Obituary for Cynthia Jo Anderson
Cynthia Jo Anderson, 58, of Pulaski Va., died Tuesday February 13, 2018, in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke VA. She was born on June 11, 1959, in Radford Va., the oldest of three children.
Cindi is survived by her parents, Donald Ted Anderson and Sandra Harper Anderson, brother Mark Harper Anderson (Joanne), sister Julie Anderson Britt (Mike), one niece Andrea Anderson and two nephews Robert Anderson and Jack Britt. She will be fondly remembered by many other family members and numerous, wonderful, lifelong friends.
She was a graduate of Pulaski County High School and attended Radford University. Early in her career, she moved from Virginia to Atlanta Georgia and lived there for 25 years. She worked for Affairs to Remember, as a Sales Catering Manager and coordinated large, lavish events throughout Georgia.
Cindi’s greatest passion was music. She loved writing poetry, was a voracious reader and had great compassion for animals. She was a great cook, played a killer game of scrabble and loved to laugh! She will be remembered for her zest for life.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 17th from 12:00 until 2:0 PM from Stevens Funeral Home, 815 Randolph Ave., Pulaski, followed by the funeral service, with Rev. Melissa Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Cindi’s name to the American Heart Association, The Ronald McDonald House or to the music fund at the First United Methodist Church of Pulaski, Virginia.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the many family members and lifelong friends that have shown great love and kindness during these past four months while Cindi was in the hospital.
Special thanks to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and the amazing medical team of loving and compassionate doctors and nurses that took care of Cindi, and supported our family during this difficult time.
