Obituary for Dallas Glenwood Jennings

Dallas Glenwood Jennings, age 75 of Pulaski, died peacefully Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on May 12, 1943, and was the son of the late Willie Frances Hollingsworth Jennings and Troy Luther Jennings.  Mr. Jennings was a retired 22 year veteran of the United States Army, having 3 tours of Germany, 1 tour of Vietnam, Forth Eustis, VA, Fort Leonardwood, MO, Marion, VA, and Ft. Lee, VA.  He was also a retired employee of VOLVO in Dublin, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by

his wife, Margarethe Kathi Kumpf Jennings.  He is survived by his son; Gary Jennings (Helen) of Proctor, VT:  his daughter; Heidi Jennings and her fiancé Stacy Mitchell of Max Meadows; a sister, Wanda J. Morehead (James, Sr.) of Pulaski; and a nephew; James Morehead, Jr. of Pulaski, and two special miniature Schnauzer’s Sophia, and Savannah.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Landon (Cap) Chapman officiating.  Interment will follow at 2:00 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  The family would like to acknowledge the warm and dedicated care provided by the nurses of Medi Home Hospice, Dr. Charles Judy and his nurses and staff.  In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to any favorite local charity of choice.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.seaglefuneralhome.com  Arrangements by Seagle Funeral Home, Pulaski.
