Obituary for Dwayne Eugene Price
Dwayne Eugene Price 56, of Pulaski, VA, passed away in the home on Wednesday, January 13. He was born October 17, 1964 in Toledo, OH to Murphy Delano Price and Charlotte Ann Clark Price.
Dwayne attended public school in Pulaski County and graduated from Pulaski County High School, class of 1983. Dwayne has lived in Orlando FL, Ft. Huachuca AZ, and Atlanta GA.
Dwayne was a member of Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church where he loved serving the Lord. Most recently he served on the Parking Ministry, Food Box Ministry, and was a member of the Interdenominational Theological Center Certificate in Theology Program.
Preceded in death by his Father Murphy Delano Price; maternal grandparents Leon & Ruth Martin Clark; fraternal grandparents Joseph & Geneva Crawford Price; and Uncle Alvin Price.
Dwayne leaves to mourn, his mother Charlotte Clark Price of Pulaski; brother Darrell Wayne Price of Pulaski; daughter Jessica Leigh Price of Winston Salem, NC; son Dareh Thomas Price of Atlanta GA; grandchildren Khamani, Emerald, Corbella, Zayne, Great Aunt Ruby M. West of Detroit MI, Aunt Marva C. (Michael) Hickman of Pulaski VA; Aunt Lavern C. (Richard) Law of Dublin VA; Aunt (Sylvia) Price of Conway AR; Uncle Russell Price of Houston TX; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special devoted friend Mary Alice “Jenny” McClanahan Reeves.
Viewing will be held 3 to 5 Wednesday, January 20, at Serenity 248 Randolph Avenue, Pulaski, VA. A private funeral for the family will be held 11 am Thursday, January 21, at Randolph Avenue UMC with Rev. Dr. Elston McLain officiating. Burial will take place at the Martin Cemetery Allisonia, VA. Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Homes and Cremation Service.

My condolences to Ms Charlotte Price, Darrell, Jessica & Dareh and the entire family. Upon my return to Virginia a few years ago, it was such a joy to catch up with Dwayne. He talked about his family and his care and love for you all! Sharing his life experiences and travels… Our conversation was ever so lively especially as he shared he had an encounter with Jesus! And though life happened as it has to us all, he was excited to begin his journey to a much deeper relationship with the Lord and his love for the scriptures. He will be missed greatly! The Lord God comfort and strengthen your hearts today and especially in the coming days. The peace of God be with you.
