Obituary for Edward Lee “Moe” Sutphin
Edward Lee “Moe” Sutphin, age 71, of Barren Springs, VA passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021. He was born April 14, 1949 in Wythe County, the son of the late Lula Ellen Sutphin.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita C. Sutphin; son, Danny and Susan Cook; grandchildren, Whitney Tilley and Dereck Tilley; great-grandson, Braxton Tilley; great-grandchildren, Jarad, Amara, Ayden, Chrisma and Johnny Boy; three favorite aunts, Rosalee Andrews, Wilma Jones and Christine McCoy. Several cousins also survive.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Barren Springs Holiness Church with the Reverend Chuck Neal, Reverend Dale Akers and special friend, Gary Lawson officiating.
A private inurnment with the family will be held at the Sutphin Family Cemetery.
