Obituary for Ellis Allen Roseberry

Ellis Allen Roseberry, age 89 of Claytor Lake, died Friday morning January 11, 2019 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski.  He was born at the Roseberry home-place on October 29, 1929 and was the son of the late Bertha Farmer Roseberry and William M. Roseberry.  Ellis was retired from Burlington Industries with 42 years of service and was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean Conflict.  He was a lifelong owner/operator of Roseberry Campground at Claytor Lake for 50 years.  He was also a life-long member of Mt. View United Methodist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years;  Barbara Joann Phipps Roseberry: and sisters; Berlyn Myra Roseberry, Elizabeth Roseberry, Gladys Bratton, brothers:  Clifton Roseberry, Emory Roseberry and Gerald G. Roseberry.  He is survived by his only son:  Allen Roseberry:  three grandchildren;  Nathan (Whitney) Roseberry, Nikki (Ryan) Smith, and Natalee (Brian) Garrett, and great-grandchildren; Emersyn and Quinlee Smith, along with multiple nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. View United Methodist Church.    Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery with military honors.  The family will receive friends on  Monday at the church from Noon until 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mt.
