Obituary for Eva Dora Trueheart
Eva Dora Trueheart of Draper, Va. was born Nov. 7, 1943 to Irvin and Pauline Trueheart and was called to her heavenly home on Nov. 6, 2021.
She was a member of Slaughter’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She continued to serve God as a member of Randolph Avenue United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Billy, Garland, Rudolph, Joseph Sr., Lester, George, Thomas, Nancy Mae; nephews, Bishop Trueheart, Joseph Trueheart Jr. and great-niece LaShauna Harper.
She leaves to cherish her memory a special niece and nephew, Brenda Jones (Marco) and Michael Trueheart (Scarlett); nieces, Claudine Dobbins (Gene), Stepanie Poindexter (Robert), Arnita Harper; nephew Dean Trueheart (Toni); great-nieces and nephews, Ervin Trueheart, Courtney Asimeng, Taylor Jones, Amanda East, Erica Aikens, Mika Trueheart, Marcus McClanahan, JL Trueheart, Cayla Trueheart, Cierra Trueheart, Christopher Trueheart, Jasmine Roberts, Robert Poindexter, Tanecia Harvey and eight great-great nieces and nephews and a host of special friends.
Eva graduated from Christiansburg Institute where she was a proud majorette. She went on to become a very hard worker for the Radford Arsenal and Volvo Trucks from which she retired.
She loved her family very much and helped to raise Bishop, Brenda and Michael. She quickly became “Nana” as great-nieces and nephews were added to her family. Eva loved shopping, singing, dancing and mowing grass. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed bowling and playing softball.

A very loving, kind, beautiful, caring young lady. Back in the day ,we spent so much time together.Eva and Carol Snell were, what we called partners in crime, thick as thieves , never got in any trouble, just good clean fun.Fly high, my friend. Condolences to the family

Eva worked with my mother at Volvo. They also went bowling and played softball together. She was a special friend and a lovely person.

Those we hold closest to our hearts never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they have shared and the love they have brought into our lives. I will always remember Eva Dora as that kind of person. MY CONDOLENCES!

Eva Dora worked with my mother at the arsenal and they were very special friends. Then, I worked at Volvo…not actually with her….but she was a very good friend. The last time I saw her, we were hugging and dancing in front of Food City. When I heard of her passing, I cried and thought to myself “loving, special, Christian friend this morning you are dancing in Glory!” I loved you …. you were always so kind and friendly ….but I will see you again! In the meantime, I will miss you, precious lady!

Eva we had some great times together, I loved taking care of you and doing what ever u needed. I miss u so much already, Thanks for being my freind.

shes my great aunt but more like a great grandma but we’ll always love and miss her she was our rock.
