Obituary for Franklin Duaine Crigger

Franklin Duaine Crigger, age 84 of Dublin, died Tuesday, April 1, 2019 at his residence.  He was born on October 19, 1934 in Pulaski, and was the son of the late Edith Gregory Crigger and Walter Everson Crigger.  Mr. Crigger loved gardening and wood working, which led to the creation of Crigger Lumber Company, which he owned and operated for many years.  He was later a materials handler for Volvo, until his retirement.  He was a member of the Church of Christ.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Stan Crigger, and a sister, Margaret Crigger.  He is survived by his lovely wife of 58 years, Hilda Rorrer Crigger:  two sons;  Philip Crigger of Christiansburg, and Steve (Tonya) Crigger of Dublin:  two daughters;  Maria (Allen) Truell of Muncie, Indiana, Karen (Glenn) Hurd of Winston-Salem, NC:  Brother; J.W. (Francie) Crigger of Dublin:  sisters;  Elva Bratton of Dublin, and Lois O’Dell of Kernersville, NC:  grandchildren; Ethan (Morgan) Akers and their son Eli, Ashley Hurd, Brittany Hurd, Brian Truell, Addie Crigger and Holden Crigger, along with many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Friday, April 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Preacher Mike Coleman officiating.  Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.  The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from Noon until 2:00 p.m.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.seaglefuneralhome.com  Arrangements by Seagle Funeral Home, Pulaski.
