Obituary for George W. Laughead

George W. Laughead, age 87 of Barren Springs, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Carrington Place (Wytheville). Born May 15, 1936 in Fayette County, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Robert Griffin Laughead & Pauline Louise Kozen Laughead. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Geraldine P. Bowman Laughead “The Redhead” and son, George W. Laughead, Jr., brothers, William and Robert Laughead and sisters, Pat McAdams and Anna Jane Laughead.

George was a veteran of the United States Army, attended Riverview Church of God (Draper) and retired from Volvo Trucks in 1997.

Grandchildren – Matthew (Carli) Beckett

Great Grandchild – Cassi Rose Beckett

A private family burial will take place at the Draper Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Draper.
