Obituary for Harold James Edney Sr.
Harold James Edney Sr. died Monday Morning, April 11, 2022 at the Skyline Nursing Home and Rehab Center. Mr. Edney is predeceased by his parents; Dewey Roosevelt Edney and Lucy Flinchum Edney. Also predeceased by a sister; Buelah Passmore.
Harold loved his country by serving in the United States Air Force. He also loved his community by volunteering with the Pulaski Fire Department for over 10 years. Harold also loved his God and worshiped at the Pulaski Church of God.
Harold’s pride and joy came from his family. He married his true love; Annie C. Edney who was his devoted wife for more than 64 years.
Also surviving Harold, is his three sons; Harold James Edney Jr. (Linda) of King, North Carolina, Michael Wayne Edney (Bonnie) of Floyd and David Lee Edney Sr. (Angelica) of Draper. A daughter; Rachel Lynn Edney of Narrows.
Mr. Edney is also survived by grandchildren; Jeffrey East (Angelina), Jessica Wintringham (Tyler), Ashley Carroll (Wesley), Kimberly Newmark, Chad Edney, Heather Edney, Jerry Caldwell (Wendy), David Edney Jr. (Haley), John Thomas Edney (Fiance Kelsey Gaskins) and Katie Neidigh (Joey) plus 10 great grandchildren.
Harold also leaves to honor his memory two brothers and a sister; Raymond Jay Edney, Carl Daniel Edney and Geraldine Weeks. A host of nieces and nephews also survive Harold.
Visitation will be on Friday Night from 6:00 until 8:00 in the chapel of Norris Stevens Funeral Home. A celebration of Harold’s life will take place at Norris Stevens Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16, 2022 with Pastor Jerry Collins officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your Dad. I remember him being a kind man. So glad he made his journey to see his Lord. Won’t be long before we all get to see the ones we loved in this life.
