Obituary for Jo Ellen “Jobie” Thomas

Jo Ellen “Jobie” Thomas, age 68 of Dublin, Virginia passed away from her earthly home Friday, March 6, 2020.

Born January 27, 1952 in Pulaski to the late Bill Lewis Hailey and Frances King Hailey. She was predeceased by her husband ,Tommy Thomas in 2017, after 48 years of marriage. Her sisters, Pat Day, Tiny Hailey Young and nieces she loved as her own, Tabby Jo Bell and Susie Young also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her

She acted as the lighthouse to her sons and granddaughter. During every storm we would look to her for guidance to assure safety. Though the light will be gone from this earth, there are three more lights shining brightly because of you. You will forever be missed. We love you Mommy.

She leaves special “sister” friends to cherish her memories, Kaye Patterson, Becky Buckland, Peggy Perdue and Bonnie Alberts; ladies who lifted her up when she was down, encouraged her to keep on keeping on, brought her sunshine on a cloudy day and gave her hope along the way. You will be missed dear friend…

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM – Wednesday, March 11, 20202 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski. Graveside services will follow at the Thornspring UMC Cemetery, Pulaski.
