Obituary for Joe Davis, Jr.
On Friday, January 5, 2018 Joe Davis, Jr. took his last breath on Earth and his first breath in Heaven at the age of 66.
Born January 9, 1951 in Newbern, Virginia he was the son of the late Joseph Davis, Sr. & Virginia Isabelle Scott Davis.
Joe spent 15 years in the United States Army and Army Reserves as a Drill Sergeant. He worked for the Radford Arsenal (Aliant Tech Systems) for 28 years.
He was the Treasurer of Old Dominion HOG Chapter of Wytheville from 2003-2011 and served as President of both the Ruritan Club and the OCAW Union.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Mike Honaker officiating. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
The family will receive friends between 5:00-7:00 PM – Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Joe’s memory be made to the Lewis-Gale Cancer Center (2400 Lee Highway, Pulaski, VA 24301)

Just saw this, my prayers and love are with all of you. We are so going to miss his Facebook “Prayers Up.”Joe really loved his family and friends. We, all, were blessed to know and love him here and in a twinkling of an eye, in eternity.
