Obituary for Johnnie Edward “Bones” Elmore
Johnnie Edward Elmore “Bones”, 64, of Oak Lane, Pulaski, VA, departed this life Monday morning, September 30, 2019 at his home in the care of his family and hospice. Born in Montgomery County on February 22, 1955 he was a son of Lincoln and the late Carmen Neice Elmore. He had been employed in the logging business. He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother Larry Elmore and his sister Joyce Reed.
“Bones” leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife and caregiver Catherine Dalton Elmore; his father Lincoln O Elmore of Salem; his step-sons Harry Shaw of Richmond and Christopher and wife Tracy Shaw of Pulaski; his brothers Mike Elmore and wife Carol of Salem and Donnie Elmore of Goldbond; his sisters Barbara Myers of Salem and Debbie Atkins of Mt Airy, NC; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews; his brother-in-law Dennis Dalton and his wife Karen; special friend Debbie Harvey; special cousin and caregiver Lola Dalton; and special friends Anthony Akers, Joe Blankenship, Jackie Hodges, Rick Yost, Ewell Lester.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Bob White Ave. Church of God in Pulaski with Pastor Don Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the services. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements. sorry for your loss , didnt really know him but knew of him cutting wood . i know at one time he was living i think or he may have been cutting wood
