Obituary for Joy Alice Miller Tibbs

Joy Alice Miller Tibbs, age 58,  of Bland, died Monday, April 11, 2022 at Carrington Place in Wytheville. She was born November 10, 1963, in Crossnore, NC, and was the daughter of the late Alice June Mabe Miller and Earl Matson Miller, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jared Tibbs.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Linton Tibbs: two sons, Joshua Linton Tibbs of Arizona, and Caleb Evan Tibbs of Willow Springs, NC; two sisters, Sarah Elizabeth (Terry) Miller Davis of Fredericksburg, and Melissa Miller of Dublin; two grandchildren, River Kelsey Tibbs and Griffin Tibbs.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1 p.m. at Bland Leyburn/St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Bland. Burial of cremains will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Bland.
