Obituary for Leonard Franklin Hale

Leonard Franklin Hale, age 90 of Pulaski, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at his residence.  He was born in on December 3, 1930 in the Cripple Creek community of Wythe Co., and was the son of the late Nancy Jane Byrd Hale, and the late James Alonzo Hale.  He was a strong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – Radford.  Mr. Hale was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his devoted wife:  Beulah Mae Richmond Hale. He is survived by his four sons;  Donnie Franklin Hale of Pulaski, David Thomas (Nancy) Hale of Pulaski, Barry (Vicki) Hale of Pulaski, and Ben (Maleah) Hale of Christiansburg:  a daughter; Amanda Elizabeth Witherspoon of Pulaski.  She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, with military honors.  Pallbearers will be David Hale, Donnie Hale, Barry Hale, Ben Hale, Ryan Hale, Liam Hale, Josh Weatherspoon, Cory Hale. The family will receive friends at Seagle Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and also on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
