Obituary for Lisa Mae Taylor

taylor lisa maeLisa Mae Taylor, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral Services will begin at noon on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Norris Stevens Funeral Home located at 815 Randolph Avenue.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 on Monday evening, November 7, also at the Norris-Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born on April 4, 1963, to Richard Boardwine and Kathryn Henderson in Marion, Virginia.  She attended and graduated from Patrick Henry High School and went on to receive an associate degree in Medical Transcription.  She married Duwayne Taylor on October 1, 2005. They have one son and one grandson.  She worked at BAE Systems before having to leave employment due to her health.

Lisa loved and provided for her family and loved gardening with her flowers. She gave her entire life for her family and building a loving home. She will be sadly missed and remembered by her loved ones.

Left to cherish her memory and to honor her legacy is her husband, Duwayne Taylor, son, Jonathan Alley, and grandson, Preston.

Also surviving Lisa are sisters, Rita Henderson, Ella Pilar Carroll, and Tamara Boardwine. Brothers, Manuel Rodriguez, Sergio Rodriguez, Kenneth Thompson (Debbie), Rick Boardwine (Misty), Wesley Boardwine (Sherry) and Butch Boardwine (Sandy).
