Obituary for Margaret Sue Conner

Margaret Conner

Margaret Sue Conner, born October 21, 1945, passed over on July 23, 2023 at Radford Health and Rehab surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was a loving, hard-working woman. Sue came from humble beginnings and worked very hard to provide a good life for her children. She earned her degree in nursing and quickly became a very respected RN in our area. After years of serving our community as a nurse, Sue retired and focused her time on one of her passions, being a seamstress and crafter. Sue was a true artist and her abilities to create everything from beautiful wedding gowns to one-of-a-kind showpiece quilts was unmatched. Sue is a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sue was preceded in death by husband William Earl Conner; son, Jeffrey Todd Conner, grandsons Brandon Michael Connor and Darren Thomas Connor, father, Alfred Paul Horton, mother, Forest, Bralley Horton; sisters, Martha Jane Covey and Francis Marie Slaughter; brother, Alfred Thomas Horton.
She is survived by her son Matt Conner (Sandy); daughters Tami Conner, Wendy Roope (Charlie) and Brenda Conner; Special nephew, Kenney Slaughter (Connie); grandchildren, Chris Conner (Crystal), Andy Millirons (Teresa), Chaz Roope, Zach Roope (Paige), Alex Roope (Adele), Dylan Conner; Special grandnephew/niece Cody Slaughter (Brittany) and Cassie Slaughter; great grandchildren Nick Conner, Evelyn Conner, Keyton Warden, Gavin Roseberry, Brooke Millirons, Logan Rice, Finn Roope, Parker Beth Roope, Jacob Slaughter, Jackson Slaughter and Karleigh Slaughter; brother Paul Bruce Horton; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
