Pastor Dennis Wayne Haga, 54, of White Gate, VA, went to be with the Lord he so faithfully served on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He was born May 7, 1967 in Giles County, VA, the son of John David & Lois Parcell Haga.
Dennis was a devout Christian who pastored to everyone about the love of Jesus. His passion was leading souls to the Lord. He pastored at Crandon (“Piney Ridge”) Pentecostal Holiness Church and Rich Creek Word of Faith for many years, but spent his lifetime sharing Jesus with everyone he talked to. He worked at Bland Correctional Center for many years. He enjoyed coon hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father, John David Haga and his brother, James Michael (“Mike”) Haga.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 34 years, Senita Sutphin Haga; his sons, Joshua Matthew Stephens and Jeremiah Douglas Fleenor; his mother, Lois Parcell Haga; his grandchildren, Olivia Stephens & Darren McCroskey, Luke Stephens, Garett Stephens, Grace Stephens, Chance Reed, Chloe Smith and Ty Smith; his great-grandchildren, Kensley McCroskey and Walter McCroskey; his brother & sisters-in-law, Christopher & Robin Haga and Arlene Boyd; his sister & brother-in-law, Karen & Scott Hedge; his nieces and nephews, Ryan Haga, Abigail Hedge, Shawn Haga, Cassidy Hedge, Zoey Haga and Dawson Haga; several special friends and brothers & sisters in Christ.
Per his wishes, Dennis will be cremated. A Praise & Worship memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. at French’s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Billy Akers, Sr. & Pastor Winfred Keene officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 P.M. until service time, 6:00 P.M.
