Obituary for Phyllis Frenchy Kemp Duncan
Phyllis Frenchy Kemp Duncan, age 91 of Barren Springs passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at her daughter’s home. Born April 1, 1928 in Kimball, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late French Malcolm Kemp & Bessie Alice Bond Kemp. Her brothers and wives, John Clayton (Carrie Lee) Kemp, Kelsie K. Kemp, Malcolm Wythe (Jane) Kemp and infant daughter, Marcia Joy and infant son also preceded her in death.
She retired from Pulaski Hospital as a registered nurse with 20 years of service, starting in 1967.
She was in the Cadet Nursing Program at Johnston Memorial Hospital (Abingdon, VA) starting in 1945 and received her Registered Nursing degree in 1947.
She is survived by her

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM – Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Glenwood Methodist Church, Barren Springs, VA with Chaplain Robbie Vance officiating. Interment will follow at the Bond Cemetery, Barren Springs, VA.
Visiting will be one hour before service time Saturday at the Church.
