Obituary for Reginald Coy “Reggie” Quesenberry
Reginald Coy Quesenberry, “Reggie” to those who knew and loved him, of the Back Creek community in Pulaski went peacefully to meet his Lord on Sunday, January 6, 2019.
His Daddy, Coy Knarr Quesenberry, would have been there to greet him and certainly this must have been a rocking reunion! Reggie leaves his dear, redheaded wife, Sherri Rorrer Quesenberry and their precious fur baby, Roscoe. He also leaves his kind, compassionate mother, Etheline Quesenberry, 94; Glenna Q. Cox, his devoted and generous sister, and his big-hearted brother-in-law, Gary Cox.
Always known as “Reggie” to his friends and those whom he held dear, he was a gentle loving man to one and all…especially those that he held close. He treasured music, toe tapping, guitar picking, especially Jerry Garcia. Many moments were filled with tunes, memories, and laughter!
He loved the garden, whether tiny or tumultuous, discovering new plants and designs. Ideas kept his mind humming. Hummingbirds were one of the tiny creatures that fascinated him most. Birdwatching was much the hobby…or with Roscoe, bird “herding!”, which was a time filled with laughter, giggles, and puppy kisses! A favorite game, too, was capturing the latest stick or Branch!
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 11th at 5:30 PM from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the service hour. A private family interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery.
Flowers are appreciated; however, the family suggests memorials may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1046, Dublin, VA 24084.
HEAVEN, THE PLACE WHERE ALL THE DOGS YOU EVER LOVED WILL COME RUNNING TO GREET YOU!!!

Hello Sherri, my name is Shawn Pierre. I am not sure if you remember me, I live in Alaska, and I was in the same squad (SR) as Reggie (Patch) when we all played Delta Force on the PC. I know I haven’t called in a long time, but I was thinking of the two of you and decided to call when I found out the phone number was disconnected, so I googled Reggie Quisenberry and found that he had passed. I am so sorry, I cannot even put into words how shocked I was. I feel angry at myself for not reaching out to you all more often. If there is anything I can do for you please do not hesitate to ask. Patch was like a brother to me, and always will be. I know he liked the song Brothers in Arms by Dire Straights, and every time I hear it, I think of Patch…

Dear Shawn, Do remember you from SR Squad! Had you sent me a friend request on FB? If so, apologies, for not recognizing you at the time. Reggie’s loss was tuff, but am so thankful I had made the decision to retire early (32 yr) & get to spend quality time together!! Meant so much to both of us. Getting along OK thru this PAN demic, how’s your family? Reggie did think of you as a brother, too…so dont ever kick yourself for what you Didnt Do! Love to you & yours
