Obituary for Richard (Dickie) Lee Quesenberry

Richard (Dickie) Lee Quesenberry, 77, of Dublin, VA passed away on February 16, 2020. Born in Wythe County, VA on July 2, 1942, he and twin brother Ronnie were the fifth and sixth of seven children born to Andrew J. and Maude G. Quesenberry.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loving family-man with an unmatched faith for his savior, Jesus Christ. He spent his life observing and spreading the true word of God, alongside family and many friends. Richard was employed at Coleman Furniture in Pulaski, VA while raising a family in Draper, VA. In 1976, Richard went to Volvo Trucks (White Motors) upon company opening, where he worked in paint/repair until retirement, while residing in Dublin, VA.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his six siblings; Dewey, Raymond, Daisy, Alfred, Betty Jane and twin brother Ronnie.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Paige; daughters Vicki (Gerald) Lyons and Sandi Hundley, and son Dennis Quesenberry; grandchildren Andy Quesenberry, Chris Thomas, Chelsey Richardson, T.J. (April) Richardson, and Brandon Richardson; great-grandchildren Micah and Nevaeh Quesenberry, Brantley Gray, Lane Richardson and four step great-grandchildren; along with many special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service, conducted by Rev. Don Sizemore, will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the memorial service following. The graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Draper Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church, Wythe Co., VA.
