Obituary for Richard Lee “Tink” Eversole

Richard Lee “Tink” Eversole passed away on March 9, 2023 at his home with family by his side in Wytheville, Va.

Born May 26, 1928 in Pulaski, Va., he was the son of the late Robert T. Eversole and Elma Bertha Jonas Eversole.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mae Thomas and sisters, Helen Etter, Wytheville, and Carolyn  Alberta Arnold, Pulaski, and brother, James D. Eversole of Rural Retreat, Va.

Richard has three daughters and spouses, Lora (Leo) Grubb, Speedwell, Va., Tammy (Jacky) Scott, Whtheville, Teresa (Maxie) Aker, Wytheville; grandchildren, Brittney (Brad) Litton, Nathan (April) Aker and Jerry (Michelle) Fishger; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Patsy Safewright, Wytheville and Margie Folden, Pulaski; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held March 13, 2023 at Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville with burial March 14, 2023 at West End Cemetery in Wytheville with military rites by American Legion Post 9.

Richard served in the U.S. Army for two years and was a mechanic and farmer.

Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of services.
