Obituary for Sallie Wall Riddle

Sallie Wall Riddle, 74, of the Little Creek Community of Dublin, VA, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was born January 24, 1948 in Pulaski, VA, the daughter of the late William McKinley & Ossie Mae King Wall.

Sallie loved sewing and quilting and made all of her grandchildren a quilt last Christmas. She was a member of the Little Creek Apostolic Tabernacle for many years.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by all of her siblings, her brothers, Virgil Wall, Lester Wall and Marvell Wall and her sisters, Frances Tate, Shirley Ramsey and Betty Akers, and her granddaughter, Chelsea Deanne Riddle.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Lewis W. Riddle; her daughters & sons-in-law, Tammy & Robbie Miller, of Dublin and Crystal & Rosco Gunter, WV; her son, Terry Riddle, of Dublin; her grandchildren, who she loved dearly, Shane & Angela Miller, of Pulaski, Ashlyn Riddle and Katelyn & Timmy Smith, all of WV. And Madelyn Crigger, of Narrows, and Braden Crigger, of WV; her very special great-grandson, Junior (“Buster”) Smith and two more great-grandchildren on the way; her nieces, Alma Warden, of Narrows and Rebekah Taylor, of Pulaski; her nephew, Cleve Tate, of Narrows; and many great nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, too many to list.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hunter’s Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Ramsey and Asst. Pastor Larry Woodyard officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made in Sallie’s honor directly to A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, 2508 Walkers Creek Valley Rd., Pearisburg, VA 24134, to help with funeral expenses.
