Obituary for Susan Marie Farris Vaughn
Susan Marie Farris Vaughn of Newbern, 62, born May 17, 1959 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2021 at her home.
She graduated from Pulaski County High School, Class of 1977.
Susan was the daughter of Kent V. Farris and Annis F. Farris of Newbern, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband and best friend of 44 years, Mark T. Vaughn; son, Christopher Vaughn (Angie) of Rustburg, VA., and daughter Ami V. Young of Dublin. Also surviving are her grandsons, Drake Vaughn (Breyana), Austin Young (Ashlee Slusher), Levi Young, Hunter Young, and Kent and Kyle Young; sister, Martha Coake (Wayne); aunt, Glenna Jefferson, Pulaski; sister-in-law, Patricia V. Hales (George), Roanoke; brother-in-law, Dr. Randy Vaughn, Pulaski; and numerous family and close friends.
Services will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Newbern Community Christian Church at 12:30 P.M. Visitation will precede the service 11:00 A.M to 12:30 P.M. with burial to follow in the Old Newbern Cemetery. So sorry for the loss of Susan. She was a great person. I am sure she will be deeply missed.
