Obituary for Sylvia Dixon Johnston

Sylvia Dixon Johnston, 89, of Pulaski, VA died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 in the Pulaski Health & Rehab Center.  She was born in Christiansburg on January 12, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Glen and Dollie Woods Dixon.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold William “Toodle” Johnston, Sr.  Sylvia was a member of the New River Valley Baptist Church.

Surviving are:

Son & Daughter-In-Law – Arnold Johnston, Jr. and Judy Johnston

Sisters & Brothers-In-Law – Irene and Harry Neece

Freda and Sammy Alderman

Granddaughter – Andrea W. Johnston

Special Companion – Carmella

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Howlett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Thornspring Cemetery.  Visiting will be Saturday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 2840 Electric Road, Suite 106A, Roanoke, VA 24018.
