Obituary for Thomas Seth Manning
Thomas Seth Manning, 44, of Pulaski, VA, went to be with his Lord on September 8, 2022, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Seth was a beloved son, grandson, father, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend, and he will be missed forever.
Seth was born in May 1978 in Radford, VA. He attended Pulaski County Schools, where he quickly became known for being a friend to many and always championing the underdog. Sadly, Seth fell victim to addiction, but he never lost his love of learning and desire for knowledge, his kindness to everyone, or his never-ending loyalty to his family and friends. He loved animals, children, his Papaw, and his Mom beyond measure. Seth believed strongly in sharing anything he owned, even in death, choosing to donate his organs to give others a chance to live.
Seth is survived by his parents, Barbara and Kenny Dalton; grandparents Joe and Helen Manning; grandmother, Stella Dalton, sister, India (Doug) Andrews; brother, Ian Parker; step-sister, Katie Slider; niece, Stevie-Rhae Parker; aunts and uncles, Dale (Carol) Dalton, Dean (Sharon) Dalton, Leon (Ronda) Dalton, Amy (John) Ferrara, Paul (Lisa) Manning, Sue Manning; former wife, Kim-Ann Manning; the children of his heart, William (Jennifer) Jones, Alyson (Mark) Avise; grand-children of his heart; Grayson Jones, Emma Avise, Ella Avise; and his lifelong friend, Dennis Roseberry. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, other extended family members, and friends around the world.
Seth was predeceased by his biological father, Tommy Parker, and his grandfather, Oscar Dalton.
In place of funeral services, and to honor Seth’s character, please read his own words and remember them going forward: “Think before you use words 2 hurt even if you are destroyed. Don’t allow that destruction to continue – external or internal. Love is a kindness rarely showed if you think about it. It’s the simple thing that means the most.”
