William Wesley “Bill” Largen, Sr., age 88 of Dublin passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at the Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC. Born April 6, 1935 in Pulaski he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson Largen & Myrtle Robertson Largen. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Largen, Jack Largen and sisters, Lou Stump, Martha Janney and Faye Bowes.

 

Bill was raised at the Baptist Children’s Hospital in Salem after losing his mother at a very early age.

 

He is survived by his

 

Wife of 63 years – Elizabeth Dalton Largen – Dublin

 

Children – Wes (Mary Ann) Largen – Dublin, Charleen (Jerry) Largen Danner – Dublin

 

Grandchildren – Scott Largen, Dylan Danner, Evan Danner

 

 

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM – Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Mt. View United Methodist Church (Wilderness Road) with Rev. Darlene Marshall officiating. Interment will follow there at the Mt. View United Methodist Church Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM – Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.

 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Mt. View United Methodist Church.
