PCHS rambles past HV, 60-45

The Pulaski County boys basketball team picked up a much needed win and the eighth on the season Tuesday evening in Roanoke at Hidden Valley, 60-45. Tyler Cannoy’s troops took control early and never let the Titans back into the fray. The Cougars are now 8-10 overall and 3-5 in River Ridge District play. Hidden Valley dropped to 3-17 overall and 0-10 in the district.

     The Cougars got a quick start and jumped to a 19-7 first quarter lead, and did not let off the throttle in the second stanza either and had the Titans doubled, 32-16 at the half.
     A.J. McCloud and Haydon Gray led the charge for Pulaski Co. McCloud finished with a season high 20 points and Gray 18. Josh Bourne and Peyton Blackburn both scored nine. Drew Stegall with 15 and Royston Smiley with 12 led the Titans.
     The Cougars return home Friday evening to play Blacksburg in another River Ridge competition.
