Pregame wellness tailgate set for Friday night

PC SChools roundPulaski County Public Schools

Be sure to come out early Friday night, October 6, to enjoy a Community Wellness Tailgate at Pulaski County High School, sponsored by the Pulaski Community Partners Coalition.

The Pulaski County Cougar football team will host the Salem Spartans in the second home game of the season for the Cougars. Before the game, this free tailgate will take place in the Golden Cougar Marching Band practice area, directly across from the main entrance to the stadium. All are welcome and invited to attend.

Community service organizations from around the New River Valley will be there to share information about their services, programs, and resources. There will also be free school supplies and other great gifts and games from the participating organizations.

Of course, no tailgate is complete without food, and that food will also be free thanks to Pulaski County Public Schools and the School Nutrition Program. Enjoy a free meal of burgers, chips, fresh veggies, bananas, and milk.

Members of the Pulaski County School Board Office and staff will also be on hand to meet with fans and help celebrate our Cougars.

The event is set to begin at 5 p.m. and will last until kickoff.
