UPDATE: Pulaski County has its first case of COVID-19

Pulaski County has its first case of COVID-19.

According to Robert Parker of the New River Health District, the case in Pulaski County involves a male in his 50’s. He is not currently hospitalized.

According to the Virginia Department of Health COVID-19 website, Pulaski County’s first case is the third in the New River Valley – one in Radford and one in Montgomery County. A fourth case is in Wythe County.

According to the health department website 19,005 people in Virginia have so far been tested and there are 2,012 cases confirmed across Virginia. Hospitalizations stand at 312 and 46 people have died from the virus.
