Pulaski County High School Track & Field Athletes Earn MileSplit Virginia All-State Honors
Pulaski County High School is proud to recognize several members of its boys track & field team for earning 2026 MileSplit Virginia All-State honors. Presented by MileSplit, these prestigious recognitions honor the top high school athletes across Virginia based on verified performances during the 2026 outdoor track & field season.
The following Pulaski County athletes received All-State recognition:
All-State First Team
- Cole Boone – 800 Meter Run & 1600 Meter Run
- Tanner Linkous – 800 Meter Run
- Anius Slaughter – Discus
- Boys 4×400 Meter Relay – Jackson Squires, Tanner Linkous, Braxton Merchant, Cole Boone
- Boys 4×800 Meter Relay – Jackson Squires, Tanner Linkous, Nicholas Flores, Cole Boone
All-State Second Team
- Cole Boone – 400 Meter Dash
- Braxton Merchant – Long Jump & High Jump
All-State Third Team
- Anius Slaughter – Shot Put
In addition to the All-State selections, two underclassmen received special recognition for their outstanding performances:
- Jackson Squires was named to the Virginia All-State All-Sophomore Boys Team in the 100 Meter Dash.
- Colin Wright was named to the Virginia All-State All-Freshman Boys Team in the Shot Put.
These honors are a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and talent of these student-athletes throughout the outdoor season. Pulaski County High School congratulates each of these athletes and the Cougar track & field coaching staff for an outstanding year of competition and for representing the school with excellence.
