Pulaski County statement on Coronavirus
In response to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s State of Emergency status resulting from the CORONAVIRUS, Pulaski County is encouraging our citizens to follow recommendations from the Virginia Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and practice social distancing and good hand hygiene.

Please be advised Pulaski County is taking the following proactive measures to help keep our citizens and staff safe:
Properly preparing within County Administration to continue to deliver all essential core services
Temporarily suspending Parks & Recreation games, activities and programs effective – 03/14/20
Temporarily closing all Pulaski County recreation and public use facilities effective – 03/14/20
Temporarily closing the Pulaski County Welcome Center effective – 03/14/20
Focusing the County’s custodial services on routine disinfection of public spaces effective – 03/14/20
Engaged Pulaski County’s Emergency Operations Center Management Team
Pulaski County Administration will continue to work with our applicable partner agencies to closely monitor, evaluate and react as needed and will communicate to the public accordingly

Closing the park in Dublin is a idea that is based on what? Their will be more people in Wal Mart any time of day,open the park people can keep a safe distance from each other.

Just because Walmart continues to stay open to the masses panicked. And buying everything in sight. I think closing the park and facilities and schools is a good idea. And support our local and state authorities making the decision 100 percent. If people want to walk, play basketball, tennis, ect ect. Stroll down to Walmart or up your street I’m sure some kid has a goal outside their house. I walked today at DMS and it was quite peaceful not a sole in sight. You have other options. Our local government is only taking measures to protect it citizens. And these types of closures is new river valley wide. Radford did it on Thursday, Pulaski on Friday, Christiansburg starting on Sunday. Blacksburg, Even Salem, Botetourt Co, Roanoke Co all has implemented similar closures. So not having a park open may save someone’s life or it may not. But if someone got corona from the park people would want to know why it wasn’t closed and all other counties around us had closed their facilities.

The entire world is responding in the most asinine way possible to this “pandemic.” This virus DOES NOT, in anyway, shape or form fit the definition of Pandemic!
.006% of China’s population has contracted the virus.
.00145% of the United States population had contracted the virus.
Pandemic? Haha, the only pandemic happening in America is a stupidity and panic pandemic! You don’t believe it? Here’s proof.
All these politicians, news media & health professionals are telling you to wipe down all surfaces with cleaners that contain, at least, 60-90% alchohol in order to kill all the bacteria on surfaces. FOLKS, USE YOUR BRAIN!!!! Alchohol kills “BACTERIA” NOT “VIRUSES!”
ONLY an anti-viral, or UV light, will kill or slow down a virus. PROOF that there’s definitely a hidden agenda behind all this hysteria. The entire world has reacted with shear ridiculous ignorance and stupidity.
Do you not see this intentional manipulation of PURE FACTS in order to suppress, depress and control EVERY aspect of your lives?
WAKE UP PEOPLE! This is nothing more than an experiment to expose the vulnerability of simple minded people and just how easy it is for media and governments to totally capture, control and manipulate the general public. The absolute most scary thing about this is how simple and easy it’s been to destroy every aspect of our lives, not because there’s a letigimate crisis or pandemic happening, but the absolute simple ease at which intelligent, educated and sane people, by the masses, are willing to toss ALL COMMON SENSE & RATIONAL REASONING out the window simply because politicians & media are shoving their HYPE down our throats.
