Pulaski County Tourism Hosts Dr. Vincent Magnini’s Service Excellence Workshop

Pulaski County Tourism will host Dr. Vincent Magnini, a globally ranked prolific hospitality researcher, for the “Delivering an Experience through Service Excellence” workshop. Available for Pulaski County businesses, groups, employees and organizations, the workshop occurs from 10 a.m.-Noon on May 4 in the Pulaski County Administration Building.

Delivering an Experience through Service Excellence workshop presents the latest research pertaining to how destinations can go about establishing and maintaining first-class customer service culture. To help maximize long-run profitability, visitors should have the opportunity to engage in efficient and friendly interactions with local residents and service providers at every touchpoint. Key topics in the workshop include guest delight, service failure recovery, non-verbal communication and verbal communication.

Dr. Magnini, the host of the workshop, is a U.S. Fulbright Scholar and has published seven books including a new release in 2020 for nature-based attractions titled An Ecotourism Provider’s Handbook (with Donald Forgione). Dr. Magnini has also been featured on National Public Radio’s With Good Reason, All Things Considered, Pulse on the Planet and cited in the New York Times and Washington Post.
