Pulaski Fire Department called to kitchen fire on Pulaski Street

On June 19, 2019 at 3:54 p.m. Pulaski Fire Department responded to 522 Pulaski Street for a report of a fire in the kitchen.

Upon arrival of Fire Department at 3:58 firefighters found moderate smoke coming from the kitchen area. They then quickly entered the structure with a hoseline and extinguished the fire. After the fire was extinguished, firefighters then checked for hot spots and any fire extension, and cleared smoke out of rest of house.

The fire was marked under control at 4:20. Firefighters then cleaned up water to help prevent further damage to the residence and returned to the station.

The Fire Marshal Office’s investigated and found  the cause of the fire to be unspecified electrical failure.  Pulaski Fire Department had 17 members to respond along with 3 apparatus. Dublin Fire Department responded with 2 apparatus and 6 personnel and REMSI along with Pulaski Police Department also assisted. The Red Cross was called to assist the occupants.
