The Pulaski Fire Parade – one of the area’s largest if not the largest in the area – won’t roll through Pulaski this year.
Pulaski Fire Chief Robbie Kiser announced today the parade has been canceled for this year due to COVID-19 concerns.
“It is with great sadness that I inform everyone that due to the COVID-19 circumstances and all the risk associated with it, that Pulaski Fire Department is CANCELING the Fire Prevention Parade scheduled for October 10, 2020,” Kiser said.
“We do apologize to all for this decision, but we feel with all the risk and factors involved regarding COVID that this is the best and right decision for our great citizens within our town, community, and County of Pulaski as well as the New River Valley.
“We will now focus on the 2021 Fire Prevention Parade and strive to make it even better than last year’s parade for our community,” he stated.
