Pulaski Police investigating apparent drowning of 5-year-old at Pulaski County YMCA
Pulaski Police Department is investigating an apparent drowning at the Pulaski County YMCA in Pulaski.
According to a police department press release, on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m., officers with the Pulaski Police Department. Pulaski Fire Department and Pulaski County Public Safety responded to the YMCA at 615 Oakhurst Avenue in reference to a report of a possible drowning.
A 5-year-old juvenile was found unresponsive.
The juvenile was transported to LewisGale Hospital Pulaski and later airlifted to Roanoke Memorial.
The juvenile was pronounced deceased at 10:16 p.m.
This incident is under investigation.

They do have life guards.
