Pulaski Yankees to host HOPE Week July 30-August 1

The Pulaski Yankees are excited to once again participate in HOPE Week, the New York Yankees annual community initiative focused on Helping Others Persevere and Excel. Pulaski’s HOPE Week presented by Gay & Neel, Inc. begins Tuesday, July 30 and runs through the team’s three-game homestand against the Danville Braves.

“Starting in New York and working its way through all Yankees’ affiliates, HOPE Week is one of the best community initiatives in professional baseball,” said Pulaski Yankees General Manager Betsy Haugh. “We’re proud to once again bring HOPE Week to Pulaski and look forward to the week’s activities.”

Each day during the team’s upcoming series, the Yankees will participate in a community appearance in the morning and then recognize groups of community all stars at their game that evening, with $2 ticket offers courtesy of Gay & Neel, Inc. On Tuesday morning, Yankees players will visit The Adventure Club in Christiansburg. Wednesday players will spend the morning at the Pulaski YMCA. Lastly, on Thursday morning, players and Calf-E will visit and read to children at the Dublin library.

Tuesday night, the Pulaski Yankees will honor non-profits and their employees, and Wednesday will feature ticket deals for employees of the Town of Pulaski and Pulaski County. Finally, Thursday will showcase local teachers before they head back to school. Members of these groups can simply show an ID or business card at the Calfee Park ticket booths to receive the $2 ticket offer.

“HOPE Week is a great initiative that runs through the New York Yankees organization,” remarked Pulaski Yankees’ Community Relations Intern, Leslie Martin. “We are excited to get out in the community and give back to the people who support us through the season. We have a platform to give back, and we’re grateful we get to do it on this scale.”

All games are set to begin at 6:30p.m. with gates opening at 4p.m. each day. Tuesday will showcase the weekly promotion of Twos-day sponsored by First United Methodist Church that features discounted concessions items.
