Radford to face George Wythe in tournament title tame tonight

The Radford Bobcats raised their season record to 4-1 this week, winning twice at the First Community Bank Boys Basketball Tournament played at Fort Chiswell High School.

Radford opened play in the tournament on Tuesday by rolling over East Wilkes out of North Carolina, 50-27.

Gavin Cormany and Elijah Kelly led the Bobcats with 17 points apiece. Kelly was 8 of 12 shooting with 4 rebounds, while Cormany chipped in 7 boards.

Parker Prioleau added 7 points and two steals to the effort.

Radford forced a whopping 22 turnovers in the win.

On Wednesday, Radford registered its second big win of the tournament, knocking off Narrows, 58-34.

Kelly led Radford in scoring with 14 points, followed by Luke Woodard with 10; Cormany with 9 and Prioleau with 7.

Cormany led in rebounds with 4, while Kelly, Woodard and Prioleau all added 3 rebounds apiece.

Radford forced 15 turnovers against the Green Wave, with Kelly leading with way with 3 steals.

Radford was scheduled to play George Wythe on Thursday night at 8:30 in the tournament championship game.
