In Loving Memory of Randy Monroe Moore Jr.

Randy Monroe Moore Jr., affectionately known as “Little Randy,” was born on May 23, 1970, in Radford, Virginia, to Randy Monroe Moore Sr. and Gloria Walker Moore. He passed away in the late hours of August 7, 2026, in Dublin, Virginia, at the age of 56.

Randy was lovingly raised by his beloved grandmother, Edith Hamilton Moore, who was a cherished and constant presence throughout his life. Edith played a very special role in Randy’s life, and the love they shared remained an important part of who he was. He attended Radford High School, where he enjoyed playing ball and developed an early love for muscle cars.

He also had a natural way with animals and a genuine compassion for them, which remained a special part of who he was throughout his life. Randy was a man of many talents. He had a gift for working with his hands and became remarkably skilled in many different trades. One of his greatest talents was automotive painting. He always credited Claude Giles of Belspring with helping him learn and succeed in the trade, and Randy took great pride in the skills he developed over the years. Whatever he put his mind and hands to, Randy had a way of becoming exceptionally good at it.

Those who knew Randy will remember much more than his talents. He had a natural charm and charisma that made him an unforgettable person. He was well-liked by many and had a wonderful sense of humor. Randy knew how to make people laugh and could bring lightness and joy into a room when it was needed most. His personality, his laughter, and the way he connected with people were some of the things that made him truly one of a kind. Randy’s life was filled with people who loved him and whose lives he touched in return.

He is survived by his daughter, Brooke Moore; his granddaughter, Ada “Addy” Roope; his brother, Mathew Moore; his sister, Sheila Floyd; his aunt, Candy Mills; his uncles, Stanley Moore and Danny Hamilton; Robert Mills; his former wife, Kimberly Franklin Moore; and many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will carry his memory with them.

Randy was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Edith Moore Mills; his father, Randy Monroe Moore Sr.; his mother, Gloria Walker Moore; and other cherished family members who went before him. Randy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

His love for animals, his passion for cars, his remarkable talent, his sense of humor, and his ability to make people laugh will remain a lasting part of his memory. Though he is no longer here, the mark Randy left on the people who loved him will never fade. He will always be remembered as “Little Randy” — a talented, charismatic, funny, and unforgettable man who was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.

Services: Randy’s funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services in Pulaski, Virginia. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Giles Family Cemetery in Belspring, Virginia.
