Report: Schools in county on lockdown following ‘incident at NRCC’
We have received reports that, due to an incident at New River Community College, schools in Pulaski are on lockdown currently, while other county schools are observing “shelter in place.”
On New River’s website was posted a message, “NRCC is on lockdown and closed Friday, February 20th, 2026.”

I heard it was what’s called “swatting” or something similar. Basically a prank. Not a nice prank either.
